Evansville is a small community next to Casper Wyoming. The department is a proactive community orientated police agency with twelve sworn positions.
12-hour shifts , which allows for 84-hour pay period working four on four of three on three off. The team assignments rotate every four months from days to nights.
Opportunities for additional paid specialized training/certifications;
Annual wage evaluations with raises as determined by the Town Council for merit and/or cost of living;
Paid vacation (beginning with 96 hours per year) and increasing for every 5 years of employment;
Sick Leave;
Health & Dental Insurance paid 100% by the City (for employees only) and a cost-sharing option for dependents;
Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance;
Retirement Plan with both Town and employee participating. Per state statute, eligible for retirement after 20 years of continuous service.
Take-home car program after completion of POST certification and Field Training.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
21 years of age at the time of graduation from the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Wyoming Driver’s License within six (6) months of hire.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Wyoming Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) Certification, within twelve (12) months of hire.
Must be legally qualified to possess and purchase a firearm.
